Observatory Richmond Hill MLS Real Estate Listings
Observatory Place, often referred to, simply, as 100 Observatory Lane, Richmond Hill was built in 1986, and had the first sales registered on the Toronto Real Estate Board in 1988. This 15-storey high-rise condominium building was built by the Tridel Group of Companies and has enjoyed a reputation matching that worthy of the Tridel name. Located just east of Yonge Street next to German Mills Creek, it is a short walk to buses and Yonge Street shopping at Hillcrest Mall. And local buses service the building with 100 Observatory Lane as a regular bus stop. Well-built with spacious one, two and three-bedroom suites, it has long attracted buyers and sellers eager to obtain models with larger square footage than is generally supplied in newer buildings.

Condominium sales in the building have shown a continued increase in price over the last ten years. Average sales prices have increased in nine of those years, with the greatest price increase occurring in 2010/2011 for one-bedroom and three-bedroom models, and 2012 for two bedroom models (2012 figures tabulated only for first half of year). Only 112 suites were sold on MLS during the 10 year period, a small number due partly to the fact that residents like the building so much they do not want to leave.
